I. GENERAL RULES
- ProBoards are strictly 13+; we will not accept anyone under thirteen, and your account will be deleted if it comes to our attention that you lied about your age to join.
- Respect. Everyone. Everywhere. This should go without saying, but it is just a helpful reminder. You will be immediately blocked if you do not respect others for ANY reason.
- In a similar vein, public fighting between members is not tolerated. This type of thing is never constructive and is disruptive; any issues should be handled over PM.
- Stealing is the least honorable thing you can do. Stealing from the site itself, from other members, or from photographers will result in an immediate ban.
- Do not stretch the board and make it look ugly. You will not be smited for this, but it's not a good thing to make the board look ugly.
- Common sense. That's really what everything above is.
II. CHARACTERS
- This is an account-per-member site, which means you don't get a separate account for every character. I know what the coding looks like, but that's just River not being able to code.
- Characters are not perfect; everyone has flaws, and your characters should as well. Flaws and strengths should also be somewhat equal; one flaw isn't going to make Sparklephoenixnova less of a Mary-Sue.
- Five characters per person before you have to start coughing up carcasses.
- For every five characters you own, at least one must be in a pack, cult, or gang. This is to encourage members to join packs, cults, and gangs. It's no fun if nobody does it!
- Copyrighted images can only be used with proof of permission.
- If you are currently working on a biography or if you have finished a biography but have not yet had it accepted, put it in the "sewing" board.
- When you complete a biography, let staff know by following the posting code in the notification thread. Staff doesn't have the time every day to check WIP bios to see if they're finished.
- Dogs are based on realism; radiation and magic did not affect Wolf Creek and so they did not affect your dog.
- Currently, all dog breeds are being accepted. You can buy hybrids or purebred wild dogs in the shop.
- Unless your pup was born onsite, you will need to spend carcasses to get a dog under one year old.
III. ROLEPLAYING
- As we are a realistic site, we expect a high degree of realism; some lenience will be granted for things such as dogs seeing color.
- The minimum amount of words per post is 300.
- Liquid time is allowed, and your characters may be in as many threads as you can handle.
- Only completed threads are accepted; no WIPs, bumps, or posting claims.
- Nothing such as breeding, killing, or scarring without the consent of the roleplayer.
- As a continuation, expect to suffer consequences for your actions.
IV. BREEDING
- No graphic breeding! It violates ProBoards TOS; fade-to-black ONLY!
- Birthing threads are mandatory unless a pass is bought, and it is preferred that they are set up on the birthing date; we understand issues that allow you to post before or after.
- Characters may breed any season, but females are only allowed to have one litter a month.
- Forced breeding is allowed with the consent of both roleplayers.
- Pups begin at three months of age and they stay at three months for two seasons before moving up by three months.
- Offspring of wild dogs will be infertile unless a pass is bought.
- Females cannot have pups until two years of age.
V. CURRENCY AND SHOPPING
- Carcasses are B2D's version of currency.
- You get three carcasses for every post you make, ten for advertising, and however many you win in contests.
- There is a 25% staff discount.
- Users may pool money for something or "sponsor" another member in a purchase.
- You are not allowed to be in debt to B2D; you can only spend carcasses you have.
VI. PACKS, GANGS, AND CULTS
- You must apply to be in a pack, gang, or cult, and the leader is free to deny you if he or she doesn't feel you would fit in.
- Pack leaders can earn immunity from being in threads and pack meetings. All pack leaders are given one month of immunity in the beginning, and all gang and cult leaders are given two weeks.
- Packs are entitled to two full territories and as many sub-territories as they wish. Gangs and cults are entitled to one full territory and three sub-territories.
- There is a maximum of one gang or cult at a time. You cannot have multiple gangs, multiple cults, or one of each.
- Pack leaders must be online once every two weeks or have a thread in the absences spot explaining why they are not active. If they fall inactive, the leader position is offered to the second-in-command. If there is no second-in-command or they deny the leadership, the group becomes open to audition.
- Leaders are given free reign over their rules and ranks.
VII. FIGHTS AND CHALLENGES
- Official fights are judged by staff members and are won based on spelling, grammar, clarity, enjoyment of read, and most of all REALISM.
- In the event of a tie, a re-judge may be offered. This is very rare and only likely during challenges.
- Fight terms are decided upon by parties, and may include word cap, time limit, post limit, amount of fights and dodges, and the consequences of losing.
- Dogs that challenge for a pack must be at least two years of age.
- A challenge is a one-on-one event between a current alpha and a hopeful alpha outside of periods of immunity. If the challenger loses, they cannot try again for one IC year and the alpha may do what they please with them. If the challenger wins, they take control over the pack and may completely reorganize it according to their preference.
